Bayern Munich are pondering a move for Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny, reports the Sunday Express.
The France international is entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates and talks over an extension have stalled of late.
Arsene Wenger is understandably keen to keep Koscielny at Arsenal, with the centre-back averaging the third most interceptions per game (3.8) in the Premier League last season.
Bayern recently allowed Medhi Benatia to leave for Juventus and despite the capture of Mats Hummels, Carlo Ancelotti is hoping to bolster his defence ahead of his debut campaign at the Allianz Arena.
However, it remains to be seen whether Koscielny would be happy to move to the Bundesliga champions and settle for a place on the bench, with Jerome Boateng and Hummels expected to be Bayern’s starting centre-back partnership next term.
