Manchester City move for Tottenham target

Manchester City have moved for Istanbul Basaksehir teenager Cengiz Under in a bid to beat Premier League rivals Tottenham to his signature, reports Turkish Football.

Under, 19, enjoyed a sublime campaign for the Turkish side that narrowly missed out on the league title to Besiktas last season.

The teenager has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham since the end of last season but Pep Guardiola’s side have made the first move in a bid to prize the Turkey international away from the capital club.

City reportedly have a party in Turkey undergoing talks with Basaksehir and, while there is no transfer currently in place, both sides of the table expect to reach an agreement to be reached.

Under, who has previously reiterated his dream of moving to the Premier League, scored seven goals and provided five assists in 32 league appearances in his breakthrough campaign for the Turkish side. In fact, only Edin Visca scored more times (8) for the club.
