Arsenal tracking Inter frontman

Arsenal are weighing up a summer move for Inter captain Mauro Icardi, according to The Daily Mirror.

Arsene Wenger is expected to bolster his offensive options in the summer after falling short in their pursuit of the Premier League title once more.

The Gunners’ form has tailed off since the turn of the year, which has also coincided with Olivier Giroud’s incredible drought.

Giroud, who has scored 12 league goals this season, hasn’t found the back of the net in the league in any of his last 15 appearances.

The Frenchman’s form in the second half of the season has been cause for concern for Wenger, who is now weighing up a £25m move for Inter striker.

Since the start of last season, only Gonzalo Higuain (50) has scored more goals in Serie A than Icardi (37).
