Pogba talks up Guardiola link

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed his desire to work with impending Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Pogba, 22, has previously been linked with a move to City in the past and is widely expected to leave Juventus within the next two years.

The former Manchester United midfielder is thought to be one of the best midfielders in the world and has already been tipped as a future Ballon d’Or winner, and the Juventus No.10 has talked up his admiration of Guardiola, widely accepted as one of the best managers of all-time.

“Guardiola has great experience and an immense philosophy of football,” Pogba told Sky Sport Deutschland. “He is a coach who influences the squad and all the players respect him. You can only admire and try to learn something from him.

“He is an icon of football and I’ve heard he manages to improve every player he has as his disposal. I am a Juventus player now, but clearly the possibility of working with him in future could develop.”

After starting the season slowly, Pogba is quickly coming up to speed and has now been awarded more man of the match awards than any other Juventus player in the league this season (5), with four of those coming in his last nine outings.
