West Ham confirm interest in City striker

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed Wilfried Bony is a transfer target before the window shuts next week.

Injuries to Andre Ayew and Andy Carroll have left West Ham horribly short in attack and the Hammers are widely expected to dip back into the transfer market to solve their striker crisis.

Bony, 27, doesn’t have a long-term future at City under Pep Guardiola and has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham already this summer, which Bilic has now confirmed.

"[Bony] is also an option because he plays in the position we are looking for. I leave negotiations to the chairman and [head of recruitment] Tony Henry," Sky Sports quote Bilic as saying.
