Bayern Munich starlet Kingsley Coman has criticised former Paris Saint-Germain teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic and claims the iconic Swede only cares about himself.
Coman, 19, came up through the PSG youth academy but made the switch to Juventus in 2014 before Bayern acquired his services over the summer where he has flourished under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola.
The tricky winger’s performances have even earned him his first senior cap for the France national squad and his form could earn him a spot in Didier Deschamps squad for the Euro’s next summer.
However, when reflecting on his time at PSG, he didn’t have many kind words for Ibrahimovic.
“My relationship with Ibrahimovic was completely neutral” Coman told Kicker. "He is not the type of player to approach the younger players and give them advice.
“He only cares about himself. There were a lot of different clans in the team. It was not easy to integrate and become part of the team."
Coman’s development at Bayern has occurred faster than many would have thought upon his arrival. Injuries to Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery have presented the teenager with opportunities and he has taken them, scoring four goals in all competitions.
His performances in the Champions League have been particularly breathtaking for a player of his age and inexperience. In fact, he is already among the top 10 highest rated players in the competition (8.24 rating) and he is the highest rated teenager among those in Europe’s top five leagues (7.59).
