Man City vs Ipswich Prediction and Predicted Lineups: Gundogan set for second City debut?

Premier League champions Manchester City return to the Etihad Stadium for the first time since claiming their fourth consecutive crown back in May, as they host newly-promoted Ipswich on Saturday afternoon. 

Pep Guardiola’s side got their season off to a winning start with a relatively comfortable 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend. 

Ipswich, meanwhile, face another tough test, having hosted Liverpool in their season opener last Saturday.

Manchester City confirmed the return of midfielder Ilkay Gundogan on Friday morning, and it remains to be seen if the German will play any part against Ipswich. 

The hosts remain without the injured Oscar Bobb, while Savinho and Rodri are minor doubts, though the latter may just start here, following a week of training. 

For the visitors, Kieran McKenna looks set to be without as many as seven players, including Harry Clarke, George Hirst and Nathan Broadhead.
