Aubameyang deals blow to admirers

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang insists he has no immediate plans to leave Borussia Dortmund amid interest from Europe’s biggest clubs this summer.

Manchester United and Real Madrid are among that have previously been heavily linked with the Gabon international and he has already made it be known that it is his dream to play for the latter.

However, those interested in signing the Dortmund striker this summer may have to look for other alternatives after Aubameyang revealed he is still happy to honour the remaining four years of his current deal.

“Dortmund is a city which is totally crazy about football,” he told Kicker, via The Daily Mail.

“In the last years, we have the highest attendance in Europe. The city is safe and my family feels at home.

“I’ve never made a secret of [the fact] I would someday like to play for Real Madrid, but I also have not extended my contract at BVB until 2020 without a reason. I feel very good here.”
