Aston Villa have made an enquiry for Chelsea striker Loic Remy, according to France Football.
Remy, 28, has been heavily linked with a host of sides in the Premier League and Ligue 1 with the January transfer window looming.
The France international failed to make any real impression on former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and while a change in manager could alter his decision, he still remains likely to leave in the New Year.
Villa, meanwhile, would be desperate to get their hands on a striker that has proven Premier League quality in front of goal. Remi Garde’s men are without a win since the opening day of the season and are expected to be one of the busiest teams in the transfer window.
Since joining Chelsea at the start of last season, no player has required fewer minutes per goal than Remy in the Premier League (101.4 mins).
