Tottenham ace holds talks with Pochettino amid summer exit talk
Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker has held talks with Mauricio Pochettino to discuss the club’s future amid interest from Manchester City and Manchester United, reports the London Evening Standard.
Walker signed a new long term deal worth £70,000-a-week in September after establishing himself as the best right-back in the Premier League but is now aware of interest in him from two of the biggest clubs in England.
The England international was dropped to the bench for their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea at the weekend and is keen to ensure Tottenham plan to remain ambitious before deciding on his long-term future.
Walker has also been scouted by Barcelona this season with a right-back at the very top of their summer transfer list, while Pep Guardiola has identified the Tottenham ace as one of his top targets this summer, along with Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin.
The 26-year-old is one of three Tottenham players currently in the WhoScored Team of the Season (7.29) having registered more assists than any other defender in the league (5).
