Spurs target free to leave in the summer

Marseille interim manager Franck Passi has revealed Michy Batshuayi will leave the club in the summer amid interest from Tottenham.

Batshuayi, 22, has impressed for Marseille this season despite the troubles on and off the pitch and has been linked with a high profile move to the Premier League as a result.

Tottenham are among the clubs leading the race for the Belgium international and they have been given the green light to press forward with a move after Passi conceded the striker will be leaving in the summer.

“Everybody knows that he will leave. It is included in the accounts that Michy will be sold this summer,” Passi is quoted as saying by Get French Football.

“We know why players leave Marseille, the financials are not so enticing, we have to accept it.”
