Dybala to sign new Juventus deal 12 months after failed Tottenham move

Paulo Dybala is closing in on a new long-term contract at Juventus just a year after almost leaving the Serie A giants, claims Tuttosport.

The Argentina international has two years left to run on his existing Juventus deal and the Serie A leaders are close to securing his peak years.

The proposed new terms will tie down Dybala until the summer of 2025 and make him the best-paid player at Juventus behind Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus were in advanced talks to sell Dybala to Tottenham last summer but ran out of time in the window to get a deal over the line.

Dybala, who was also linked with Manchester United, seemingly had no future under Maurizio Sarri and looked on his way out against his wishes.

However, the 26-year-old has turned things around at Juventus this season and signing a new long-term deal would cap a remarkable change in fortunes for the forward.

Dybala only managed five league goals for Juventus last season but has found the back of the net on 11 occasions in Serie A in 2019/20.

Furthermore, his WhoScored rating in the league has increased from 7.08 last season to 7.47 this term.
