West Bromwich Albion have announced midfielder Craig Gardner has signed a two-year extension keeping him at the club until 2018.
Gardner, 29, had entered the final 12 month of his existing deal this season but he has now extended his stay by a further two years with the option for another 12 months.
“It’s brilliant for me to extend my contract, especially at a time when the club are bringing in some top players,” Gardner told the club’s official website.
“This is a great family club and the ands are brilliant to play with. I just want to keep playing Premier League football alongside some top players that can hopefully help us climb into the top ten.”
Of players to have started more than one Premier League game this season only three player require fewer minutes per key pass than Gardner (1 every 23 minutes).
