Atletico Madrid are already considering a replacement for Nico Gaitan and have earmarked AC Milan ace Suso as a top transfer target, reports AS.
Diego Simeone’s side paid £21m to sign Gaitan from Benfica last summer but the Argentina international has failed to make any impression in Spain and is already being linked with a move away from the club.
All of this hinges on whether Atletico are successful in their appeal against a FIFA-imposed transfer ban that is currently being dealt with in the Court of Arbitration for Spot [CaS], but Simeone is interested in signing Milan forward Suso as his replacement.
Suso, who joined Milan from Liverpool in 2015, has been in sensational form for the Serie A giants this season and his performances have caught the eye in his home country.
The 23-year-old has been involved in more league goals than any other Milan player this season (16) , while he is also their third highest rated player (7.25).
