Joey Barton is due to have his medical at West Ham on Monday, according to BBC Sport.
Barton, 32, has been a free agent since being released by Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season and is expected to become West Ham’s eighth signing of the summer in the next 48 hours.
Despite being part of a QPR side that last in the Premier League last season, Barton came through as one of just four Rangers players to achieve a WhoScored rating above 7 (7.10).
