Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of teenage attacker Leroy Sane, according to the Daily Star on Sunday.
The Reds have been strongly linked with a move for the Germany international, with Jurgen Klopp believed to be a huge admirer of the Schalke star.
However, any move is unlikely to come to fruition next month, with the player's agent recently stating that Sane will not discuss any business until the summer.
Manchester United and Tottenham had also been credited with an interest in Sane, 19, who has four league goals and a further four assists to his name this term.
