Chelsea starlet pushing for January exit

Charly Musonda has told Chelsea he wants to leave in January after growing disillusioned by a lack of first-team opportunities, claims The Daily Mirror.

Antonio Conte blocked the 21-year-old from leaving Chelsea on loan over the summer and would be reluctant to see Musonda leave unless he is backed in the January transfer window.

Musonda earned a slap on the wrists last month after taking to social media to vent his frustrations and now he is keen to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge in the New Year.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the Belgium U21 international, but it remains to been seen whether they would move for him as it could jeopardise the development of 17-year-old Reiss Nelson.

Musonda made his Premier League debut in the final 25 minutes of Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace midway through October, but his only two starts of the season have come in the League Cup.
