Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Pape Sarr from Metz and that Moussa Sissoko has departed for Premier League rivals Watford.
Sarr is highly rated in France and returns to the Ligue 1 side on loan for the 2021/22 season, while Sissoko's time at the club has drawn to a close five years after joining from Newcastle.
"We have reached agreement with Watford for the transfer of Moussa Sissoko," a statement read on the club's official website.
"The midfielder joined us from Newcastle United in August, 2016 and made 202 appearances for us in all competitions.
"Moussa established himself as a key member of the squad in 2017/18, making 47 appearances in all competitions, before his stand-out campaign of 2018/19, where he played 44 times, making eight starts and two substitute appearances in our run to the Champions League Final in Madrid, his displays recognised by being named Spurs Legends' Player of the Year.
"Capped 71 times by France, Moussa made 35 appearances in 2019/20 and another 43 last season, taking him over the 200 mark for the Club.
"We wish Moussa all the best for the future."
On the Sarr arrival, a statement on the Spurs website read: "We are delighted to announce the signing of Pape Matar Sarr from Metz.
"The Senegalese international will remain on loan at Metz in Ligue 1 for the rest of the 2021/22 season.
"Still just 18, Pape joined Metz from the Generation Foot Academy in Senegal in September, 2020. He made his debut against Brest in Ligue 1 in November and went on to make 25 appearances in 2020/21, 22 in Ligue 1, three in the Coupe de France, scoring four times.
