The midfielder's reputation has soared in the last few days after turning in a thoroughly impressive display in Atletico's dramatic encounter against Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Partey was one of Atletico's best performers as Diego Simeone's side sensationally eliminated holders Liverpool from the Champions League.
The 26-year-old has a release clause of just £45m in his current Atletico deal to alert a number of Europe's biggest clubs.
Arsenal are unlikely to make Dani Ceballos loan switch from Real Madrid permanent at the end of the season and now Partey has emerged as a potential target for the Gunners.
It remains to be seen whether Partey would consider a move to Arsenal considering Atletico are in a better position to challenge for major titles than Mikel Arteta's side.
Partey is Atletico's top WhoScored rated player in the Champions League (7.55) and second top rated in LaLiga this season (7.07).
Moreover, Partey has won possession in the middle third more times than any other player in the Champions League this season (45).
