Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is expected to receive contract offers from Major League Soccer teams, claims The Sun.
The England international has entered the final six months of his existing Liverpool contract and is free to talk to foreign clubs about a summer deal.
There was chatter earlier in the season than Liverpool could reward Sturridge with a new deal but that appears unlikely at the moment.
Sturridge has struggled to stay fit for prolonged periods in recent years and Liverpool will reportedly look to sign a new striker in the summer.
New York City are on the market for a new striker following David Villa’s departure to Japan last month and Sturridge could be an option for the MLS franchise.
Sturridge has made 11 appearances in the Premier League this season, but only started twice in that time.
The 29-year-old scored in three games in a row in all competitions back in September, earning the WhoScored Man of the Match award against Paris Saint-Germain before scoring a stunning last-gasp equaliser against former club Chelsea.
