Man Utd prepared to hijack West Ham's deal for Bundesliga hitman
Manchester United are considering hijacking West Ham's £15m move for VfB Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy, according to Football Insider.
The 27-year-old has been in superb goalscoring form this season, netting 17 times in Germany's top tier, a return only Harry Kane (22) can better.
And his performances in the Bundesliga have not gone unnoticed, with West Ham prepared to step up their interest in Guirassy.
However, the Irons wouldn't have a straight shot at the Guinea international, with United, Newcastle and AC Milan also monitoring the striker's situation at VfB Stuttgart.
His participation at the Africa Cup of Nations will undoubtedly complicate any January deal but with a reported £15m release clause, interested parties are looking to make their move for Guirassy this month.
Guirassy only moved to VfB Stuttgart permanently from Rennes last summer and the German side are understandably keen to return his services until at least the end of the season.
West Ham are seeking to reinforce their frontline in January with Michail Antonio currently sidelined, while the Hammers have also lost star duo Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta to injury in recent weeks.
