Stoke are on the verge of signing Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen after agreeing a £13m fee, reports The Guardian.
Allen, 26, has 12 months remaining on his existing deal with Liverpool but his future has been in doubt since the end of last season.
Swansea were interested in re-signing the central midfielder at the start of the summer but a strong showing at Euro 2016 with Wales has attracted other suitors and Stoke are now poised to acquire his signature.
Only Paul Pogba (30) and Toni Kroos (25) won possession more times in the midfield third than Allen at Euro 2016 (24).
