Manchester United star Pogba fuels Real Madrid summer switch

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has used the international break to fuel talk of a sensational summer switch to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Pogba’s future at Old Trafford has been subject to intense debate all season and is thought he would have pushed to leave if Jose Mourinho remained in charge next season.

United sacked Mourinho before Christmas and interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has helped get the club back on track and brought the best out of Pogba.

The 26-year-old has already confirmed he wants Solskjaer to get the job on a full-time basis but has remarkably now hinted he may not even be at United next season.

Madrid have been heavily linked with Pogba in the past and lost out on his signature to United in August 2016.

The Spanish giants are planning a summer overhaul and Pogba has talked up a potential move to the club, even more so following Zinedine Zidane’s return.

“Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,” The Daily Telegraph quote Pogba as saying at a press conference with the French national team.

“There is also Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream anybody who likes football. For now, I’m at Manchester. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester and I’m happy.”

Pogba has incredibly weighed in with 20 goals and assists in 27 league appearances from central midfield this season.

In fact, his goal contribution has been worth 19 points to United in the league this season - a figure only three players in Europe’s top five leagues can better.
