Germany have announced Joachim Low has extended his deal with the national team until Euro 2020.
Low has been Germany manager since 2006 and successful led the national team to their first World Cup success in 24 years when they triumphed in Brazil in 2014.
The 56-year-old’s position as Germany head coach came under threat following elimination in the semi finals to hosts France at Euro 2016, but he has now been given assurances over his role through the next two major tournaments.
“Developing this team and these players and trying to take them to the highest level is a real joy,” said Low after the deal was announced.

In 141 matches in charge of Germany, Low has a formidable record having won 67.4% of those matches. In fact, in major tournaments Low has won 24 of his 30 matches in charge.
