Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele has rubbished reports suggesting he was on the verge of a move to Italian side Napoli.
Reoccurring injuries and loss of form have meant Dembele has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth at Spurs since signing from Fulham in 2012.
The 28-year-old has seen a lot of teammates since the club in the last two years and reports had emerged earlier in the month suggesting he was to be the next player out of White Hart Lane.
However, the Belgium international has refuted those claims: “Each season emerge many rumours about my possible move,” he told Dhnet. “Now there is Napoli but I know nothing and my agent told me nothing about this. I’m a Tottenham player and I only think to Spurs.”
Dembele has started five of Spurs’ nine league games thus far and is currently averaging more successful dribbles per game than any of his teammates in the Premier League (2.2).
