MLS striker content amid Barca interest

Toronto FC striker Sebastian Giovinco insists he is “happy” in MLS despite reported interest from Barcelona.

Giovinco, 28, has been in sensational form since making the switch from Juventus to Toronto in February and has reportedly courted interest from the reigning European champions.

The Italy international has played a direct hand in at least five more goals than any other player in MLS this season (33 - 21 goals + 12 assists), but has cooled talk of a move to Barcelona.

“No, I’m happy where I am,” Giovinco is quoted as by Italian publication Rai Sport.

“I only just changed club, so let me enjoy this adventure first.”
