Manchester United target Maguire set to leave Leicester this summer

Harry Maguire will turn out for Leicester for the final time on Sunday before joining one of the Premier League’s top-six this summer, claims The Sun.

The 26-year-old’s reputation has soared since playing a key role in England’s run to the 2018 World Cup semi-finals and the hulking centre-back has enjoyed another solid campaign this term.

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wanted to bring the Leicester ace to Old Trafford last summer but the Red Devils baulked at his £75m asking price.

United finally accept they will have to break the bank to bolster their defensive options and Maguire has emerged as a transfer target for the club again this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are not the only top-six club interested in Maguire, however, with Arsenal and Chelsea also keen.

Chelsea’s pursuit hinges on whether they will be allowed to sign anyone this summer, while Arsenal may be priced out of a deal given their limited funds.

Nevertheless, it has now emerged that Maguire will almost certainly not play for Leicester next season if a suitable offer is tabled this summer.

Of players to have contested at least 30 aerial duels in the Premier League this season, Maguire has the best success rate (78.1%).
