Chelsea quoted €60m in pursuit of Juventus star

An offer of €60m would be enough to convince Juventus to sell Leonardo Bonucci to Chelsea, according to Calcio Mercato.

The Azzurri international has been a top target of Antonio Conte’s ever since his arrival in London and the latest news out of Italy suggests that the Blues may have handed a boost in their pursuit of the 30-year-old.

Bonucci has endured a fractious relationship with Juve boss Max Allegri in recent months and it now appears that the club are willing to let their star defender leave for the right price.

The Old Lady have great faith in Daniele Rugani to step up to the plate, with Mehdi Benatia another solid alternative and Mattia Caldara arriving next summer from Atalanta.

Bonucci is well-versed in Conte’s back three system and really flourished under the Chelsea boss’ tutelage during their time together in Turin.
