Tottenham chairman Levy determined to hold on to star man Kane

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy hopes to price the club’s rivals out of a summer move for Harry Kane if their season ends trophyless, claims The Daily Telegraph.

The north London outfit have made a disastrous start to the season and are already 10 points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Tottenham’s hopes of ending their 11-year wait for a trophy took a further blow in midweek after being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two side Colchester.

Kane has cut a frustrated figure at times this season and another trophyless campaign could attract interest in the England captain from some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Levy is determined to hold on to Tottenham’s star man and will demand any interested club make Kane the most expensive player of all-time.

Neymar currently holds the world record after his £200m move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 and Levy believes Kane is worth £250m.

The 26-year-old has scored four goals in six Premier League appearances this season without being at his best. Kane has netted at least 20 goals in four of the previous five campaigns.
