Inter prepare move for Tottenham’s Dembele including China switch
Inter want to sign Mousa Dembele from Tottenham on a one-year deal before sending him to China next summer, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
Dembele has entered the final 12 months of his existing Tottenham deal and will not renew with the Premier League side.
Tottenham are willing to sell the 30-year-old but their preference is the send the Belgium international to China.
An unnamed Chinese side have reportedly matched Tottenham’s £30m valuation of the 30-year-old but the midfielder dynamo will not make a decision on his future until after the World Cup.
Dembele’s agent is currently in Italy speaking to all of the big clubs about his client, but they are unlikely to match Tottenham’s stunning valuation.
However, it has now emerged that Inter, who are back in the Champions League next season, are in the process of devising a clever plan to prise Dembele to the club.
Inter want to offer Dembele a three-year deal but the last two years will be spent at Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning, who are also owned by Inter’s owners.
Of players that have attempted at least 75 dribbles in the last three Premier League campaigns, only Jan Vertonghen (87.3%) has a better success rate than Dembele (87.1%).
