Former Arsenal goalkeeper Alex Manninger is training with Liverpool with a view to becoming their third goalkeeper for next season, reports The Times.
Manninger, 39, is currently a free agent after being released by German side Augsburg at the end of last season.
The former Austria international spent five years at Arsenal around the turn of the millennium and could well be set to join Liverpool behind Simon Mignolet and Lorius Karius in the pecking order.
Of goalkeepers to have made at least 20 appearances in the last three Bundesliga seasons only one had a worse save success rate than Manninger (58.3%).
