Chelsea emerge as favourites for Zaha

Everton are preparing a club-record bid for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha but fear missing out on his signature to Chelsea, claims The Daily Telegraph.

Zaha is desperate to leave Palace this summer for the second time in his career and has already been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.

Palace value Zaha at £80m and Arsenal do not have the budget to facilitate a move for the former Manchester United winger.

Everton are in talks with Palace about a sensational move for the 26-year-old and are ready to test their resolve with a player-plus-cash deal.

As well as lodging a club-record £60m bid, Everton are also willing to include Cenk Tosun in a deal to prise Zaha away from Selhurst Park.

Zaha is reportedly open to a move to Everton, but the Merseysiders fear missing out on his signature to Chelsea.

Chelsea emerge as favourites for Zaha

Chelsea are currently serving a FIFA-imposed transfer ban that prevents the Blues from making any signings until the summer of 2020.

However, Frank Lampard’s side are reportedly weighing up a move to tie down Zaha when their transfer ban ends.

Zaha has developed into one of the best players outside the Premier League’s top-six and finished last term with his best ever goal haul in the division (10).

Furthermore, only Eden Hazard (303) has completed more dribbles than Zaha (232) in the last two Premier League campaigns.
