Barcelona misfit wants to end career at Camp Nou

Arda Turan has accepted his reserve role at Barcelona and wants to end his career with the La Liga champions.

Barcelona signed Turan from rivals Atletico Madrid in a deal worth £29m in 2015 but has failed to establish himself at the club.

There have been improvements in the 29-year-old’s performances this season but he still flatters to deceive among the majority of Barcelona fans, although he has accepted he will never be a first-team regular.

“Barcelona are the best team in the world,” he told Radyospor, via The Daily Mail. “I feel I belong to this jersey. If I’m needed for just one minute, I’ll play for just one minute. If I’m needed to stay on the bench then I’m going to say on the bench.

“And I give everything I have when I’m in starting line-ups. My coach is always showing me that he’s pleased with me. I want to end my career at Barcelona.”
