Danny Drinkwater is the latest Leicester City star to sign a new contract as the Premier League champions look to reward the midfielder for his performances last season, reports The Daily Mail.
Leicester are keen to tie down the futures of as many of their Premier League squad as possible having already handed new contracts to the likes of Wes Morgan, Kasper Schmeichel, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.
Drinkwater, 26, has just two years remaining on his existing £35,000-a-weel deal but the Foxes are set to bring the England international in line with the highest earners at the club, who earn six figure salaries weekly.
No player has won possession more in the midfield third than Drinkwater since the start of last season in the Premier League (191).
