Departing Arsenal midfielder linked with Real Madrid switch

Real Madrid could make a stunning January move for departing Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey, reports the Sunday Mirror. 

The Wales international is expected to leave the Gunners at the end of the season at the latest after the Gunners withdrew their contract offer. 

Chelsea and Liverpool have both been linked with a move for Ramsey, while reports last month suggested that Bayern Munich had struck an agreement with the player that would see him move to Germany next summer. 

Real Madrid have now supposedly thrown their hat in the ring in the race to sign the 27-year-old, who has made just six league starts this season. 

Los Blancos are keen on luring Ramsey to the Bernabeu, where he would link up with compatriot Gareth Bale in Madrid. 

Juventus are also huge admirers of Ramsey, but they will need to act swiftly if they are to convince the player to move to Italy. 

Despite a lack of regular game time, no Arsenal player has registered more assists than Ramsey (4) in the Premier League this season.
