Neymar wants Manchester City target Gabriel Jesus to snub Pep Guardiola’s side and join Barcelona this summer.
Jesus, 19, has been linked with almost every big club in Europe this summer following his impressive exploits in Brazil for Palmeiras this season.
City are currently leading the charge to sign the Brazilian, who is currently on duty with his national team at the Olympics, but Neymar is keen to link up with his international teammate at Barcelona.
“I spoke with Gabriel Jesus. Not only with him, but also told other players how it feels to play for Barcelona and to live in the city,” Neymar is quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.
“He is a great player. We know lots of clubs want him. He needs to know the right moment to leave, we want the good players by our side.
“If he comes to Barcelona he will be very happy. Maybe we’re the biggest club in the world. The city and the day-to-day are wonderful.”
Only Julian Casares (7.84) has a higher WhoScored rating in the Brasileirao this season than Jesus (7.83), who has scored at least two more goals than any other player (10).
