Italian champions eye up Belgian

With Alvaro Morata becoming increasingly hot property across Europe, Juventus are considering potential replacements, reports Corriere Dello Sport.

While Edinson Cavani’s name has been mentioned in passing, according to reports from Corriere Dello Sport it looks like the Italian champions will focus their attentions on Romelu Lukaku.

It’s looking increasingly likely that Lukaku will be plying his trade away from Goodison Park next season, and Juventus are the type of club that the Belgian would like to prove himself at.

In March, the forward was quoted as saying “I will be 23 in the summer and I think it would be nice to play in the Champions League from next season. That is the next step for me.”

In the last 4 Premier League seasons, only Sergio Agüero (79) has scored more goals than Romelu Lukaku (60), while only Gonzalo Higuaín (71) managed more league goals in the same in Serie A.

Between the lucrative Premier League television deal in place and Everton’s new ownership of Farhad Moshiri, Everton will be able to offer Lukaku an improved deal, but without Champions League football to offer a stay seems unlikely.

Lukaku is set to start tomorrow night against Italy in Belgium’s Euro 2016 opening match. He could increase his value in the transfer market with a successful tournament
