Inter interested in swap deal with Manchester City involving Sergio Aguero
Inter will consider a swap deal for Manchester City target Milan Skriniar if they receive Sergio Aguero, claims The Independent.
Pep Guardiola is expected to go big this summer in search of a new centre-back after City slipped to their ninth league defeat of the campaign on Sunday.
City failed to sign a replacement for Vincent Kompany last summer and have fallen way behind champions Liverpool this season.
Guardiola has earmarked Napoli ace Kalidou Koulibaly and Inter's Skriniar as top transfer targets but expect competition from rivals Manchester United.
Skriniar has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League for the past two years after developing into a fine centre-back in Serie A.
In fact, of players to have featured in at least 20 Serie A games this season, Skriniar has the best pass success rate (92.3%) in the division.
Having previously fought to keep Skrinar at the club, Inter are now receptive to the idea of the Slovakia international leaving.
Inter are particularly interested in prising Aguero away from City in a potential swap deal, as a potential replacement for Lautaro Martinez.
Martinez has been dubbed 'the next Aguero' but is a top transfer target for Barcelona this summer.
After City failed to score in Aguero's absence at the weekend, however, it's unlikely Guardiola will be comfortable with the idea of the Argentina international leaving.
Gabriel Jesus still hasn't done enough to convince he can take over Aguero's role on a full-time basis and Guardiola is even pondering the arrival of another striker this summer.
