Brazilian set for surprise Barca exit

Barcelona right-back Dani Alves will join Juventus on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer, according to Cadena Ser, via Marca.

Alves was heavily linked with a move away from the Camp Nou last summer before eventually putting pen to paper on a new deal.

The 33-year-old has been a stalwart for Barcelona ever since he made the switch from Sevilla in 2008 and his exit would leave Luis Enrique with a mammoth hole to fill before next season.

To make matters worse for the La Liga champions, central defender Javier Mascherano has also reportedly agreed terms with Juventus over a summer move, although Barcelona are likely to block the move with more than two years still remaining on the Argentina international’s contract.

Since August 2012 only Markel Susaeta (136) has delivered more accurate crosses (excluding corners) than Dani Alves (132).
