Borussia Dortmund want to reunite Phil Foden with former Manchester City forward Jadon Sancho, claims The Daily Mail.
Sancho turned down a long-term contract with City to join Dortmund in 2017 and is now a full England international.
Foden has been tipped as one of the best English prospects after helping England win the U17 World Cup just over 12 months ago.
City head coach Pep Guardiola has waxed lyrical about Foden in the past but the 18-year-old has struggled for playing time for the English champions.
While Sancho has reaped the benefits of his bold move to Germany, Foden has only mustered 76 minutes of playing time spread over eight substitute appearances in the last two seasons.
Foden’s current City deal is due to expire in 2020 but Guardiola’s side will do everything in their power to secure the teenager’s long-term future.
Nevertheless, Dortmund are monitoring Foden’s future at the Etihad and are keen to prise another English talent away from Guardiola’s side.
Sancho celebrated his maiden senior England call-up with a cameo at the end of a 0-0 draw with Croatia on Friday night and will feature against Spain on Monday.
The 18-year-old has only made one league start this season, making a further six appearances from the substitute bench. However, no player in Europe’s top five leagues has registered more assists than Sancho (6).
