AC Milan have moved a step closer to signing a new striker after agreeing personal terms with Fiorentina frontman Nikola Kalinic, reports Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia.
Kalinic has reportedly agreed terms to a five-year deal with this summer’s big spenders, but Vincenzo Montella’s side are yet to register an improved offer after their €25m (£22.4m) bid was rejected.
Representatives of the two clubs will reportedly meet in Milan on Monday with the Viola looking to fetch €30m (£26.8m) for the Croatia international, although discussions will need to move along quickly in order for a deal to happen.
Fiorentina are reportedly growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of progress in talks with Milan and want to use the funds to sign Genoa striker Giovanni Simeone as his replacement as soon as possible.

Milan have already spent more than £150m on new players this summer but want to finish the window by signing another striker, despite already shelling out more than £30m to sign Andre Silva from Porto.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Diego Costa and Andrea Belotti are other strikers that Montella’s side are interested in, but Kalinic would seem the most obtainable at this stage of the window.
Of the 34 players to have scored at least 15 goals in the last two Serie A campaigns, Kalinic has the worst big chance conversation rate (31%).
