Arsenal have announced they have signed Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna after matching his £17m buy-out clause.
Perez, 27, was on the verge of joining Everton before Arsenal swooped in to hi-jack the deal despite the fact they passed on him earlier in the window.
“He’s not only a goalscorer, he’s a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and make good runs,” Arsene Wenger told Arsenal’s official website.
Since August 2015, Perez has had a hand in more goals than any other Spaniard in La Liga (27).
