Tottenham target out of favour Bayern winger

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing up a move for Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Argentine is expected to delve into the transfer market this summer in a bid to strengthen in wide areas, with Costa emerging as a possible target for the Spurs boss.

Costa has struggled for regular game time under Carlo Ancelotti this season having excelled under Pep Guardiola last term, with Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery ahead of the Brazilian in the pecking order.

Interest in the 26-year-old is high and there is likely to be a transfer scramble for his signature should Bayern decide to cash in on Costa.

Spurs will likely make their move and are prepared to match the club-record £30m spent to secure the services of Moussa Sissoko last summer.

The France international, however, is tipped to depart White Hart Lane at the end of the season, with a return to France mooted, after a disappointing debut campaign in north London.

Wilfried Zaha and Ross Barkley have also been linked with moves to White Hart Lane as potential replacements for Sissoko.
