Leicester consider move for former Manchester United winger
Leicester are interested in signing Real Sociedad winger Adnan Januzaj, claims The Daily Mail.
Claude Puel’s side sold Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City for £60m earlier this summer and are still keen on bolstering their offensive options.
The Foxes spent more than £20m to sign James Maddison from Championship side Norwich, but the England Under-21 international plays centrally.
Mahrez’s departure has left Leicester light on the flanks and they are now considering a move to prise Januzaj back to the Premier League.
The Belgium international failed to make the grade at Manchester United before eventually moving to Spanish side Sociedad on a permanent deal 12 months ago.
Jose Mourinho’s side have the first option to sign the 23-year-old if he leaves Sociedad but United are not interested in their former academy product.
Januzaj was part of Belgium’s 2018 World Cup squad and scored a stunning goal against England in the group stages, but was mainly on the fringes.
Of players that made at least 20 appearances in La Liga last season, only two players completed more dribbles per 90 minutes than Januzaj (3.8).
