Sevilla have confirmed the sale of Wissam Ben Yedder to French side Monaco.
Monaco have paid a reported €40m (£37.1m) for Ben Yedder after triggering the release clause in his Sevilla deal.
Monaco’s opening offer of €20m (18.6m) plus Rony Lopes was rejected by Sevilla and they have now returned in a straight cash deal.
Ben Yedder has been looking to leave Sevilla all summer and was linked with a move to Manchester United as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international secured his move to Inter but United opted against signing a replacement.
Ben Yedder, who rejected a lucrative offer from China earlier in the summer, returns to France following a three-year absence having signed for Sevilla from Toulouse in 2016.
The 29-year-old’s arrival coincides with reports Falcao is on the verge of joining Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Ben Yedder has scored 10+ goals in six of his last seven league campaigns.
