Juventus look to Tottenham in striker pursuit

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has emerged as Juventus' first choice target in their push to land a new frontman, reports Italian publication Corriere dello Sport.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from the north London side this summer and while the club are moving to distance themselves from reports of a possible exit, speculation surrounding the England captain's future refuses to die down.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the Spurs star, and they'll now face competition from Juventus should the capital side elect to cash in on the 26-year-old.

The Serie A champions are looking to bring in a new frontman sooner rather than later with Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo both now the wrong side of 30.

The pair haven't stuttered in the league this season, with the duo netting 26 goals between them, of which Ronaldo has scored 21.

However, Juventus are looking to prepare for the future now rather than wait until further down the line and have earmarked Kane as number one target.

The Spurs star hasn't featured for club nor country since sustaining a hamstring injury in their 1-0 loss at Southampton on New Year's Day.

Yet Kane remains Spurs' best rated player with a 7.30 and top scorer in the Premier League this term having struck 11 times.
