Ibrahimovic to reunite with Mourinho in the Premier League
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is already planning for life in the Premier League as Jose Mourinho wants to reunite with the iconic Swede at Manchester United next season, according to Le Sport 10, via Manchester Evening News.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker is out of contract at the end of the season and is widely expected to make the switch to the Premier League before ending his career in MLS or China.
Mourinho is the clear favourite to replace Louis van Gaal as the United manager at the end of the season, with the Dutchman expected to step down if he cannot secure a top-four finish this season.
The former Chelsea manager has reportedly already drawn up his transfer list with a need for a world-class central defender, midfielder and striker at the top of his wishlist.
Despite being 34, Ibrahimovic’s performances in front of goal have shown no sign’s of dipping. In fact, of players to have scored at least five goals across Europe’s top five leagues this season, only Karim Benzema has required fewer minutes per goal (77.9 mins) than Ibrahimovic (80.5 mins).
