France international Marco Verratti insists he is content with life at Paris Saint-Germain but has refused to rule out a move to Barcelona in the future.
Verratti has been continually linked with a move to the Nou Camp in the last 18 months and has revealed his admiration for the European champions.
“Barcelona are one of the strongest teams in the world, they’ve spent a long time at the top,” he told Goal.com. “When a team this good is interested in you, any player would like it, and it’s true that I like their style of play.
“Barcelona are a great team but for the moment I’m happy at PSG. Like they say, you never know what your future will be, but I’m happy where I am and I’m not thinking about changing club because you know what you lose but not what you will get.”
Given the France midfielder’s style of play, it isn’t surprising Barcelona have been monitoring his progress. In fact, the 22-year-old completed at least 512 more passes (2652) than any other player in Ligue 1 last season.
