Manchester United plan second Benfica raid

Manchester United are considering a second Benfica raid for Anderson Talisca, just days after the capture of Victor Lindelof, reports the Daily Mirror.

United confirmed that an agreement had been reached between themselves and Benfica last weekend for Lindelof before announcing his arrival in the week after he passed a medical and gained international clearance.

However, that won’t stop United from plotting a second bid for another Benfica star, with Anderson Talisca supposedly high on the club’s wish list this summer.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan with Super Lig champions Besiktas and excelled as 13 goals and two assists saw him earn a WhoScored rating of 7.47, the third highest in the league.

Talisca is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying: "I've had a good season, and Mourinho has a love [for me] that exists, I will not lie.

"It's a dream, something that all players want. As I said, his love is old and I like his work. He's a great coach and I hope everything works out.

"I can't talk about Manchester United. It's not just up to me.

"It's up to Benfica, my representatives, who are dealing with the situation. Soon, they'll have news.”
