Bayern Munich working on summer move for Chelsea starlet

Bayern Munich have no intention of missing out on Callum Hudson-Odoi and are already plotting a summer move for the Chelsea starlet.

The Bundesliga champions had four bids for Hudson-Odoi turned down by Chelsea last month and the teenager even handed in a transfer request at the end of the transfer window.

Hudson-Odoi is frustrated by a lack of playing time at Chelsea this season and is desperate to secure a stunning move to Bayern.

The England Under-19 international will only have 12 months left on his existing contract at the end of the season and has already rejected a huge offer from Chelsea to renew.

Maurizio Sarri’s side will reluctantly have to sell Hudson-Odoi in the summer if he does not sign a new contract before then and Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed Hasan Salihamidzic, who was tasked with signing Hudson-Odoi, is working on a new offer.

“In the past we often had transfers that didn’t work out in the first place but did in the second try,” he told The Sun. “And as I know Hasan, he will now work so that it will happen in the second try.”

Sarri punished Hudson-Odoi for requesting a transfer by dropping the 18-year-old from Chelsea’s squad that lost 4-0 to Bournemouth in midweek and the teen was only afforded 13 minutes as a substitute in Saturday’s 5-0 thumping of Huddersfield.

Hudson-Odoi is yet to start a Premier League game this season and has only mustered 74 minutes of playing time spread across four substitute appearances.

Of players to have made at least three appearances in the Europa League this season, only one player is completing more dribbles per 90 than Hudson-Odoi (5.8).
